The first trimester is a little rough and I am convinced that unfortunately, I'm not going to be one of those glowing pregnant women. I am super tired, slightly nauseous most afternoons, and depressed by my constantly growing butt, thighs and stomach. It's pretty early in and I am already starting to not be able to fit into most of my clothes. However, I blame that I the fact that I am so big on the fact that I quit smoking in October and had been steadily putting on weight prior to becoming pregnant.
Aside from the physical symptoms and body changes, I am super excited for the entire pregnancy experience! This is something that I have always wanted and it is finally happening!! I struggle to sleep some nights because my mind is just racing in excitement!! So much plan, prepare and do before the arrival of our new little prince or princess!!

Surprise, you're Pregnant!!
Justin and I returned home from our wonderful anniversary vacation in the Dominican Republic last September. I had finally gotten the all-inclusive resort beach honeymoon that I had always wanted and Justin was happy not to have to hear me nag about it anymore. Like he had for the past 7 years!! Now that we had checked the honeymoon off the list, we both realized that we were finally ready for the life changing commitment of a child. We'd had Casey for three years now and had managed to keep him alive and healthy! ;-) We decided that we were ready to start trying!!
We made a go of it until January, when I found out that work would be sending me on a trip to Manila, Philippines in March. So we decided not to try in the month of February. Shortly after returning from my my overseas adventure, March 30th, I started experiencing all of the classic pregnancy signs and took a test to be sure...well...actually I took three that day!! :-) And they were all positive!! It seems to be a trend, that "it" happens when you are not trying or least expecting it. So although we are surprised, we couldn't be happier!!
