How fast the time goes!!!

It's hard to believe that 9 months ago I was finding out that I was pregnant and just starting this amazing adventure. I have been so blessed and have had such an easy, healthy and uneventful pregnancy. I have tried to always focus on the positive and to constantly remind myself how lucky I am. I genuinely believe that my upbeat attitude and optimism has been the key to my pregnancy being the wonderful journey that it has been. I have truly enjoyed and will forever cherish this incredible experience.

This adventure has brought Justin and I closer together and happier than we have ever been. He has been the sweetest, most thoughtful and supportive husband, spoiling me with attention and affection every chance he gets. Never in my life have I felt so loved, treasured and cared for!! We've bonded throughout the entire pregnancy, embracing, enjoying and reveling in every stage of the journey. We've grown throughout this process and have become one united team ready to take on this new challenging and exciting adventure.

I love my husband more and more each day and I can't wait for the journey to end with the amazing miracle of our child, Payton Joy Hampton. I hope that she emulates her name and both exudes and is filled with the same happiness for friends, family and life as I am. Hurry up sweet baby girl, we can't wait to meet you!!

Baby Shower Tour, Destination #3 Dumfries, VA

The baby shower tour ended this weekend in Virginia and was thrown for me by my good friend and neighbor, Kimmie. It was an AMAZING event and Kimmie spared no expense utilizing her incredible talents!! She had actually found the party coordinates in my exact room theme!! The forest animals and design from peanut's room was everywhere throughout the shower and was so stinking cute! She had made cupcakes, mint chocolates and little pink onesie sugar cookies with Payton's initials. Everything was perfect and stamped with her special touch! She had thought of everything and even provided me with both address labels of the attendees and return address labels. I am truly blessed to have such a wonderful, caring and thoughtful friend!!

Announcing baby Hampton's name...Payton Joy Hampton!!

It's official, the soon to be newest member of the family has finally been named and this was actually Justin's pick! However, we've been calling her peanut for so long that the habit may be a little hard to break. ;-)

Maternity Photos

Justin has been so amazing during this pregnancy! He has been an absolute trooper when it comes to all the appointments, classes, research and preparation that comes along with this new adventure of getting ready for a baby. He has been my sidekick and done everything that I've asked him to do and most with a smile on his face. However, these maternity photos were the one task that he had been loathing and that had been causing him the most angst. Anyone who knows Justin, knows that he hates getting his photo taken and especially in a family photo shoot such as this. I've told him numerous times that he married the wrong women, because I absolutely LOVE photos!! He had been dreading the picture day for 2 months, but promised that he would show up and try not to look too miserable. :-)

I had scheduled it for a Sunday after a Steelers game and luckily for me, we won that day!! Therefore, it was the best scenario possible. Justin was both in a good mood from the win and a little buzzed from drinking during the game. Our photographer was amazing and was able to quickly and efficiently get photos of all the poses I wanted. Although schedule for up to a 2 hour shoot, we were done in just under an hour!! I was pleased and Justin was ecstatic. After all of the moaning and groaning that he had done, he ended up admitting that it wasn't that bad after all and that he had actually enjoyed himself. It helped that our photographer had agreed to photograph us with our first child, the furry one. ;-) Casey took direction well and did a fantastic job throughout the shoot. He made the experience so much more enjoyable for both of us!

These are only a few of the photos that we received from the shoot, but they are some of my favorites!! I hope that you all like them too!! Thanks again to Justin for agreeing to participate in the photo shoot! It really meant a lot to me!
